Bedroom Door

My need to paint on something bigger than a peice of paper was all too great. Yes, my stupidity got hold and I decided to paint my bedroom door.

The embaresing thing about this photo is not taht you can see my crummy painting skills, but that you can notably have a glance at my PURPLE room... arg... *faints*.

When I get bored, I add some more stfuf to the door, and as you can see it's still unfinished. i'm begginging to worry it will never be over with :(

I know I'm going to regret posting this...

Shaded Face

The face of some model from a magazine. This is perghaps the first time I tried shading pencils, and the outcome was rather surprising. I believe it's particularily good for my age and skill level.

Not much to say about this one... um... an art class project... shading pencils... the photograph is lopsided *giggles*.... ya.

Manga Attempt

Okay, so maybe taking my hand at Japanese manga art wasn't the greatest idea. Just doodling around a bit, trying out some new pencils and stuff. It really is nothing to be proud of, my cartoon skills aren't helping out here. Ah well, trial and error. I have a crazy friend at school, and he surrounds himself constantly with Japanese cartoon shows and card games. Watching all those YouTube videos critisizing the shows (whih he find hilarious) influenced me to try my hand at the art. Ah well, I always have time to practise...
This was done in the Summer of 2009, between outings and periods of laziness whilst I shlumped like a couch potato, just reading books. The background is till unfinished. Cartoons just aren't my forte.

Brown Owl in a Tree

I'm not sure when expactly I painted this, but I have a strange suspision it was around last year.

Nothing really new here, as it's been a fair while stince I painted it.

It's a brownish owl (the specific type of owl has slipped my mind) and it looks rather vexed if you ask me.

(I really have to lay off the books! I'M USING WORDS LIKE 'VEXED'!)

Okay, so it's water colour. Another project from Art Classes. I seem to compain about my art a fair bit, but I've really come a far way since I started Art Classes.

This painting is displayed proudly on my new easle I recieved for my birthday last February. From the back, with the hat balanced on it, the board looks something like Norman Rockwell's easle in his "Triple Portrait".

Renaissance Woman

Okay. Another canvas painting, again lacking much of my enthusiasm.

My painting skills are still rather poor, and this crutial element is displayed on this poor inoccent canvas.

I don't like this painting in particular, but then again, it is almost as old as "Dumbledore" (I'm refering to my painting and not of the character's age, even though he is accesivly ancient).

Ah well, with every class I learned a new skill, I guess I learned some stuff while failing at this miserably... I guess it's not so bad... I guess it's acceptional. That's as far as I'll go.

Acrilic, again, another Art Class project.

I think it's suppose to be a Renaisansse lady or something like that.

Albus Dumbledore

A long over due entry to my blog, I confess, is finally uploaded! This painting was done much over a year ago, and has been hanging on my wall. Albus Dumbledore, from the novels of Harry Potter, against a dark purplish background, along with two random blue moons hanging in mid air over his head. They're sort of just decoration...
Though the first painting on canvas I ever did, it remains probably the best I've done yet (so you can tell that my art on canvas is not that great...)
Acrlic, done at Art Classes aproximatly three years ago.
The truth is, I've been too lazy to upload anything for a while, and have basked in my annoying habit of procrastination.
For those of you have have either read or seen the sixth Harry Potter story, you'll know that this marveled old wizard was killed unexplainably by Proffesor Snape, the Potions Master.
But for those of you who didn't know... sory for the spoiler :(
Ah well, my habit for painting book characters continue, perhaps by the fact that no exihisting person is worth painting (or they won't hold still long enough)
